The front piece slot keeps the strap from sliding around, and the protection pad is a solid bonus—it does exactly what it’s supposed to. I’ve used it daily for a week and the velcro still grabs tight every time.

The velcro fastening holds its position well and the front piece slot makes it easy to adjust, but the protection pad feels a bit flimsier than what the description suggested. Works fine for light use, though I wouldn't trust it under heavy pressure every day.
